Bette came to us at 5 mo. old almost 4 years ago. She had some knee problems at the time, but they have been surgically corrected. She does experience some arthritis in her knees with certain weather conditions, but is doing good.
HEALTH: Fair. She is completely updated on shots and spay - she is beginning to suffer from arthritis due to her knees & the surgery - joint care will be needed.
BACKGROUND: Bette really has come so far in her loving foster home. This munchkin is looking for the perfect forever family to call her own!!!
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Bette is currently in foster care with another dog, cats, children and learning her manners. leash training. A fence yard is not required, but preferred. These folks here want me to have a special loving home so you will need to provide personal and vet references as well as have a home visit before I can come and live with you. My adoption donation is $250.00, and personally I think I'm worth every penny.
I will be allowed to travel out of state so don't be afraid to ask about me (please note: we must follow the airline restrictions on temps so please be aware of that, any costs associated with travel will be your responsibility). I would love to have a special person to love me. See you soon.....

ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering our kid's doctor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the important thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the perfect family. That's our top priority.
POTTY TRAINING: Please note that we NEVER say our kids are 100% potty-trained. How naive would we be to say something like that? If you're willing to be trained by your new family member, please fill out an application. If you're looking for a totally potty-trained kid, you may as well stop at the toy store on your way home from work and buy a stuffed toy because those are the only reliable ones to NOT potty in your home. There is a period of adjustment, not just for the new family member but for everyone in the house. You must be patient, understanding, and willing to work with your new family member. It can take anywhere from several days to several months. You must be 100% committed to this, it's a lifetime commitment.
